    The room I woke up in was pure white.    Of course, it was not entirely white, for if it was it’d be like snow; I’d not be able to judge the size or see where one side met the next.    Even then, my eyes took some time to adjust. The light the center of the ceiling was brighter than any I had seen before.    Seen before.    My head thumped back into the wall I was leaned up against when I realized—I didn’t remember anything. Nothing... just... facts. Things. Hows and whats but not whos and places and their significance.    I sighed in relief when I realized I was lucky enough to at least remember my name.
